'keane' on living

Its almost been 3 weeks of my non-existence in this blog of mine. With the Star Wars fever and all, thus let me summarise the weeks in my version of trilogy.
Episode I: Gluttony Menace
There has been plenty of food savoury with Chocolate Fondue at Coffee Club, comtemplating of what to eat at Marche, the normal late night suppers at Indian food joints, the desserts and the coffee from West Coast Park McCafe, breakfast buffet spread for 4 mornings at Berjaya Redang Beach Resort, BBQ dinner cum buffet on the last nite there and lastly spicy Thai lunch at this chic place at KL Times Square. Oh yes, Dunkin Donuts as well... Yummy
* Greedy grins*
Episode II: Attack of the Flu Bug
Aniwae, I was at Pulau Redang from the 18th to 22nd May. Irfan (my primary school friend) and me were looking forward to take up the PADI Open Water Dive Course there. With the crash course diving package that lasted all throughout the 4 days , it seems a hectic holiday for me despite being in a beach resort. *Sighs* There was much fun though especially when we start to don our wetsuits, the scuba gear before off we go down under. Just the depths of the swimming pool initially but then 7m at the house reef. *I like!*
Seems to have not much problem in the equalizing bit; a skill that divers need to acquire as one slowly descend underwater so as to not pressurize our ears. Something like that. *Confused grins*. One just needs to pinch the nose then blow out your nose, then you will feel your ears 'popped' out.
Night before our last 2 open water dives.
Condition: Miserable in bed, runny nose, crumpled toilet paper strewn at the side of my bed. All this amidst the panadol and Irfan's sinus medication dissolving in my body system.
Psyched myself in the morning to think that I am feeling better but the effect totally die off when there I was out at the open sea, getting ready to go underwater but failed to equalise. Upon failing to do so again after my 2nd attempt, Farouk our diving instructor confirmed with me on my health status. Complained to him about the bothering occasional runny nose. He then advised me to make my way slowly to the shore and wait for the diving boat to retrieve us back later.
There then sat a boy looking glum as he failed miserably in building sandcastle as he waits all by himself at the remote beach.
Episode III: Revenge of the Literates
Apart from the getting sick bit, I have been trying to console myself by telling that I am due to fall sick at this point of time of the year. (It's been a year since I was last miserably sick aniwae) *sore loser smiles*
Plus, the Redang trip has somehow re-ignited my passion for reading yet again. 'Rebel without a Crew' by Robert Rodriguez turns out to be great company during my miserable blocked nose nights in Redang.
An official journal on how this film student made his breakthrough film with a budget of 7k although he had initially meant to cater it for the Spanish video market. Remarkably, he did everything on his own. The lightings, the editting, the producing, the script-writing, just name it. A truly one man show film production. The movie I am talking about is 'El Mariachi'. Kind of made me look forward to buy and watch the DVD.
p.s: finally got a copy of it. storyline is kick ass though the other elements like cast, acting and effects were poor. kudos to him since its a freaking low budget movie.
p.s.s: Robert Rodriguez's Sin City is a must see if you had enjoyed Quentin's Kill Bill Part 1 & 2. Dark, gruesome and sinister.
Aniwae, back to the me being a bookworm all over again. I followed up the reading bit with Irfan's book since I was done with the El Mariachi book. Paulo Coelho's Veronika Decides to Die. It makes you somehow marvel about how life may turns out for someone. Bouts of depression, fear of being misunderstood, loneliness, pusuit of love, freedom of being yourself are issues which are mentioned in the book and how it has an effect on me personally. *emo and pondering into wall look*
