are all desserts sweet?
1957hrs
Its like barely 12 hours ago when I last logged in and made an attempt to update the blog.
Same condition; refreshing shower and still smiling to myself at how the week has concluded brilliantly enough on a personal note. *grins wide*
The week had started with a neat haircut in preparation for Thursday's awards presentation. I have to give the barber some credit for meticulously ensuring that he remove tiny 'fallen' hair on my neck. While reflecting on my trimmed side and rear, I can't help but overheard this boy telling another barber in the shop that he wants a 'student' haircut. I started to wonder if I am always going to go to a barber shop for the next 25 yrs and repeat these lines myself.
"Side and rear, slope. Top, just trimmed abit. Sideburns natural."
"High slope? Can also. "
Aniwae, moving on from the 'haircut economics', I realised its that period where random acquaintances seek me for financial help. Puts me in a spot sometimes. Its like you do have that spare cash but its money you probably intend to put aside for that pool in the need of any emergency that arises. *Sighs*
The dinner cum Murni's so called bachelorette party did materialise on the sauturday night finally. Despite the absence of the proposed stripped dancers, it was a splendid evening for all of us and of course the bride to be. Nice ambience + 'yummy' looking food at Sofra was summed up with photos snapped to remember the joyous occasion. We then shifted from the long dinner table to the 'cosy circle seats' area for desserts and the revelation of Az's surprise birthday cake. *grins widely*
maybe tommorow
Sunday morning and all showered as I sat amazed at how the saturday night had unfolded and then concluded with breakfast.
Another week unfolds and the rewards reaped as it ends.
p.s: Apologies for the bummed gums and the wrong view of sunrise.
off the ball

I must admit that it has been a splendid end to the week after it has started boringly enough especially with the over indulgence in bumming around the house.
Irfan and I had earlier went to HV for supper + to check out the match tat will determine who the gunners be facing in the finals. 4-1 to the Red devils who went all out firing to prove their worth after a difficult week of criticisms. We were distracted by a lot of 'off the ball' incidents especially by the beautiful machines that zoomed past the kopitiam and the array of good looking people.
The night was concluded with the realization of a common disinterest we have in a particular type of women. *Evil grins*
Oh yah, thanks dude for lending me Lisa Ono's Questa Bossa Mia. The soothing sounds seems to allure me into taking up dance class. Halmy dancing? Not really a feast to the eyes. *Hur hur*
Sunday morning didn't start out that well though. Played in a friendly soccer match that resulted in a two foot tackle lunged at me when I was playing keeper for the 2nd half. Badly bruised my right ankle; can see the studs marking. If that bugger was wearing my steel studded boots, I be in tears already. *Ouch*
My thursday and friday were brilliant as well too.
Passed my 2A evaluation despite attempting it twice in a day. Asked an online friend out for supper. She turns out to be a great companion especially countless moments where we made a fool of ourselves and seems to get on each other nerves just to irritate. *Smiles sillily*.
p.s: i just hope she finds the ride on the LRT equally as interesting as it had been the night before. *pondering smiles*
p.s.s: taken as a proof that one's looks can differ much from a photo. weird? *but i like*
Und das ist erst der Anfang

Did my last session of runs as the IPPT day looms.Continuous running lasted for 20 minutes. *pants & grunts*
Watched Sepet, a Malaysian film which relates a story of a Chinese boy falling in love with a Malay gal and the implications that arise from it. I admit that this movie will be there in my list of all time fave movies. It rates highly with the likes of Serendipity, Turn Left Turn Right, Notting Hill and whatever that is listed in my profile.
Yes, I admit I have a weakness for lovey dovey movies like that *grins shyly*

p.s: Thank you Handy-Man and his brother 'Ned Kelly'!

Bum around at home. Act of watching sitcoms; Everybody Loves Raymond and Grounded for Life rekindled
High moments- Eating maggi mash potato from 7/11 at midnight. Sudden yearning for Popeye's.

Dread going for the IPPT. The blazing hot sun sums up my mood as I pulled through miserably for the static stations. 2.4km run was as I had expected, 11.17min. On the positive note, I ended the runs without heavy panting or exhaustion. *All smiles*

On leave. Bum around again at home. Watched several episodes of the Chappelle show, a black dude stand up comedian who never fails to entertain with his skits that seems to mock everything.
Managed to watch this German film, Just The Beginning.
Its about this gal who is in a relationship where the bf seems to be committed to work than her. So one day, this gal Anna who was trying to call her friend, accidentally dialed the wrong number and got this stranger, Micheal instead. So the phone call actually led to each of them having a liking for each other. A lost of connection tho leads to a different turn and interesting twist to the relationship. It's movies which plays around with destiny that will always engage and captivate me without fail.
Makes me wonder if I am able to experience such similar screenplay in life.

p.s: thanks to ju-man's beau for sharing this wonderful movie with me
saturday night

Woke up as early at 7am, made my bed and did some 'leftover' housework. The Valuation Officer coming over to our place to take photos of the flat at a quarter after 8am.
The photo shoot barely lasted 10 minutes before she took off. My mom made burgers for breakfast. Had 2 of those; could have more if there were more. I can imagine myself being 'Jughead' from the Archies Comics. *smiles*. Decided not to go back to bed so off I went to randomly pick from my pile of unwatched DVDs. Saturday's early morning screening will be Laws of Attraction starring Julianne Moore and Pierce Brosnan.
Checked with Ah-Neo if he be going to Fik's place later in the afternoon for the baby shower thingy. Apparently not. Guess, I nap for a while before going over. Woke up at 1pm, showered and rode to Fik's place. Not much of a crowd yet. I was starving already so when the couple invited me to eat, I did not hesitate to the normal line of "Later lah, I just got here. Let me settle down for a while." Went to the buffet table and filled my plate. *gluttony grins*
Fik and wifey didnt really have much opportunity to entertain me much as they always do with the rest of guest that starts to flood their house. Of course the centre of attraction was still Aqil Aufa, the newborn who opened his eyes to the world on 1st March 05. Their parents have begin to label me as Halmy, the godfather. *Godfather Theme playing in the background*
Ouh aniwae, I made a new friend today. This Primary 3 girl, who is the cousin of Fik's wife. Interesting child I must say. There I was in Fik's study room trying to be oblivious to the growing number of guests when this girl actually sat down beside me and started chatting. From jobs, ambitions, exam marks, art capabilities. her prefect duties in her school and lotsa more. what made it more captivating was that she was fluent and she reminded me of the first nephew of mine, Azym.
It was freaky though when there was a moment when her relatives came into the room and asked her if she has made a new friend. To my amusement, she said " This is my boyfriend". I laughed out loud as I shake my head in dissapproval. I find it interesting that I seem to enjoy her company despite her age, though I asked her if 10 years from now if she will actuall recall this conversation she's had with a guy 16 years her senior. I doubt she will; Me? I will, if this blog still exist then. It will be impressive if I religeously update the blog till lets say I m 30 then there is option to print it like a journal for me to compile. Not the normal Go to 'File' in IE and 'Print' option. It be like an autobiography for keeps.
Before I left Fik's place, a common friend of ours actually ask for my number which I find it strange. Let's say it got weird when she actually messaged me later in the evening if I wanted to go out. I guess I define it as weird cause I wasn't expecting it.
Middlesboro vs Arsenal @ 10pm.
Gunners won by a goal scored by Pires. Lucky us!
lousy times
Had a satisfying friday which happens to be my 1st day off. Knocked off from work; handing and taking over was fairly a smooth transition, met some guys from work for breakfast and gossip about work which constructively means sharing reflective moments.*pondering grins*. Breakfast + coffee almost end at a quarter before noon.
Nap for barely half an hour before my mom woke me up for friday prayers. As I showered, I m wondering if Ju-Man is still meeting me at the mosque later. The sermon was about racial tolerance; fairly appropriate with the Pope's death barely a week ago. The imam mentioned there is a need for us to know and understand one's other beliefs and cultures. My trip to Bali in the early week of April kind of enlighten me on the Balinese Hindus then. *wide grin*
1415hrs
Tried to nap a bit before my bike practical starts at 1545hrs. Guess my body system refuse to hibernate for a while cause it has a tendency to just shut down automatically. Msn; to keep me my mind alert for now. With Murni online and asking if I could help to circulate her wedding cards to friends, I decided that a dinner-cum Murni's bachelorette party sometime next week would be greatly anticipated by the rest.
Emailed the guys and gals reminding them of Murni's wedding and working out a date where every single recipients of the email will be available. (up to this point, still no date yet) *sigh*
Bike practical was somehow fun. The instructor got me to become his pillion as he demonstrate how to do the figure 8 and e-brake smoothly. It must seem comical for the rest of the trainees to see me at the back of a Super 4 trying to grip my legs or holding on to the tank tightly. I guess it was a learning and valuable experience for me; I m saying this not just because I passed the stage earlier. * evil grins*
Got home, changed to my shorts and off I ran to Bukit Gombak Stadium. Did stretches before I clocked my 2.4km run. 14 minutes ++. Shucks. I have to take consolation that probably my run to the stadium somehow drained my energy. *sore loser sighs* Jogged back slowly as I tell myself that I need to jog regularly before the 12th as IPPT is on that day.
Chicken rice for dinner; I just realised that my only other meal this whole day was breakfast then. The fourth season of Smallville just started today. Kind of got myself engrossed watching it, must be the kristen kreuk factor. Now I cant wait for next friday's episode. *wide smile*
-Enjoy the weekends-
